We're thrilled to welcome the multi-talented Russ Martonis to the Saga Content team as our new Group Account Director.
Over his career, Russ has driven strategy and execution for small and large agencies including DDB, Avrett Free Ginsberg, Story Worldwide and T3, having done everything from modernizing classic ice cream brands for Unilever and helping Coca-Cola save polar bears to creating digital social-graph recommendation engines for American Express and helping revolutionize higher-ed fundraising for Columbia University. It was on the latter project that Russ first bonded with Saga founders Charles Coxe and Nils d’Aulaire, painting crowd-sourced murals, building stop-motion light wands and manning 24-hour social media war rooms — in short, doing everything he could to maximize the client’s record-breaking fundraising effort.
Perhaps most important: When he’s not working, Russ volunteers as a college prep mentor and soccer coach for nonprofit community group South Bronx United, where he also drives communication and fundraising efforts as Vice President of the SBU Supporters Club Board, a unique fundraising arm that leverages the passion of a traditional soccer supporters club to connect donors and volunteers to programming.
Russ is a perfect fit for the Saga Content team, and we know that with him on board, the sky is more goal than limit.
