SAGA Content Wins Another Top MarCom Award!

Sorry to brag AGAIN, but... We've also been awarded top honors with a Platinum MarCom Award for our work for Watson Adventures!

Our work for Watson Adventures, which won the highest award for best marketing video, showcases how Watson Adventures' scavenger hunt participants discover fun on their tours through a whimsical tale of a jaded man named George finding a pair of magic goggles.

The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. Winners are selected from over 300 categories in Print, Web, Video and Strategic Communications by AMCP (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals), the industry’s preeminent third-party evaluator of creative work. The organization has judged over 200,000 entries since its formation in 1994.

SAGA Content Wins Top MarCom Award!

Please forgive the not-so-humble brag: We've been given top honors with a Platinum MarCom Award for our work for Purdue University!

Our work for Purdue University's Purdue Day of Giving, which won the highest award for special event marketing, broke the world record for single-day educational fundraising when it raised $28.2 million from more than 15,000 donors in just 24 hours on April 26, 2017.

The campaign included everything from overarching creative strategy, game theory and social media training to website, print and collateral design, social media content publishing and management, alumni stewardship and video production.

SAGA Content Speaks at the UCDA Conference

SAGA Content cofounders Charles Coxe and Nils d'Aulaire are in Baltimore today, talking about the secrets of holding a record-breaking day of giving for Purdue University (along with some great learnings from our work for Princeton, Columbia and Georgetown Universities) to a great crowd at the UCDA Design Conference.

SAGA Co-Founder Charles Coxe on FoxNews

In a FoxNews piece about Martha Stewart's foray into digital programming (at $200K per episode), SAGA Content cofounder Charles Coxe voiced some skepticism about online video content finally being considered more desirable than TV.

“The jury is still out on whether these investments in talent in digital will pay off,” Coxe said. “Right now, the audience engagement doesn’t justify it, but we’re still in the frontier thinking stage. Once more people settle into consuming content online, those viewership numbers will only go up, and audiences will naturally be drawn to the names they already know from TV.”

Introducing: Russ Martonis!

We're thrilled to welcome the multi-talented Russ Martonis to the Saga Content team as our new Group Account Director.

Over his career, Russ has driven strategy and execution for small and large agencies including DDB, Avrett Free Ginsberg, Story Worldwide and T3, having done everything from modernizing classic ice cream brands for Unilever and helping Coca-Cola save polar bears to creating digital social-graph recommendation engines for American Express and helping revolutionize higher-ed fundraising for Columbia University. It was on the latter project that Russ first bonded with Saga founders Charles Coxe and Nils d’Aulaire, painting crowd-sourced murals, building stop-motion light wands and manning 24-hour social media war rooms — in short, doing everything he could to maximize the client’s record-breaking fundraising effort.

Perhaps most important: When he’s not working, Russ volunteers as a college prep mentor and soccer coach for nonprofit community group South Bronx United, where he also drives communication and fundraising efforts as Vice President of the SBU Supporters Club Board, a unique fundraising arm that leverages the passion of a traditional soccer supporters club to connect donors and volunteers to programming.

Russ is a perfect fit for the Saga Content team, and we know that with him on board, the sky is more goal than limit.
